The big day...

It all leads up to this day.  This day full of magic, and love from sunrise, and well past sunset.

It seems in its own way every year tops the last.  This year has been truly special.

Baking up Memories...

 

One of my favorite holiday traditions are the days spent baking with my babies grandmas.  This year there were many days of making cookies, and treats, but none as special (I think) as the two days they look forward to each year.  A day with Matt's mother making cookies, and candies.  And a day with my mother making a cake from the very same bundt pan that we used in my own childhood. 

I am so very grateful for these two women.  I am so grateful on behalf of my children that their grandmother's are here to give them the loving gift of tradition, and memories.

What I am Loving today...

~Forgetting it's Monday!

(with Matt home, this blog post almost didn't happen)

~A little (big) baby who now eats bananas....

(I can not wait to show you the pictures.  Oh my sweet baby goodness.)

~A boy who bravely held a sparkler...

(But he does prefer them not to be lit)

~A girl who sings lullabies...

(and now I have her on video to permanently capture her sweet six year old voice)

~A partner who watches the silliest movies with me...

(I love being able to giggle with him at the end of the day)

~I love wrapping up this amazing holiday season, and I am so excited about the New Year coming up...

I have had such a fun month, that I think I'm going to spend the whole week sharing, then I can say goodbye to December and welcome January fresh!
